The Ellen MacArthur Foundation has released a new report exploring the role of paper-based flexible packaging in addressing small-format plastic pollution, particularly in markets with high leakage rates. The report is endorsed by 47 organisations, including Normec OWS.
The study brings together input from more than 60 experts across NGOs, academia, and the packaging value chain, along with additional research and analysis conducted by the Foundation.
Normec OWS contributed through a dedicated technical review of the sections on biodegradability and compostability. The aim was to ensure that the information presented is accurate, consistent, and not biased toward specific materials.
