What challenges await you?

Welcome to the Sales Team where your role as a technical expert will be pivotal. Your primary focus will be enhancing the BCDE (Biodegradation, Composting, Disintegration & Environmental safety) department, ensuring our commitment to environmental sustainability remains strong.

Main responsibilities:

Setting-up customized project proposals tailored to the specific needs of both our existing and potential new customers.
Active follow-up of potential customers, i.e. calling in on new requests, informing potential customers about our products and services, negotiations on projects and new collaborations.
Strong collaboration with Sales Officers to attract new customers, further expand the customer base and secure favorable service agreements.
Building and maintaining customer contact and strengthening cooperation by applying key account management, for example through feedback requests.
Collecting and sharing specialized technical knowledge pertaining to test methodologies and certification standards related to biodegradation, environmental safety, and similar areas.
Monitoring new developments in the field/market segment.
Participation in and presentation at seminars, conferences and gatherings by professional associations.
Carrying out various consultancy assignments in your role as a technical expert: providing training, webinars and workshops, writing topic-specific consultancy reports for our customers, etc.
Prepare and deliver sales updates on customers and market information to the Commercial Manager.

What do we expect from you?

We’re looking for a colleague who:

Has a strong and positive can-do mentality and is eager to learn.
Has a Bachelor or Master degree in environment/science/technology or equivalent with basic technical knowledge.
Happy to help customers and provide the necessary support, i.e. developing a tailor-made and innovative proposal based on the customer’s input.
Has the ability to acquire technical expertise in the short term.
Has strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in English and preferably Dutch, with fluency in communication. Additional language skills are considered advantageous.
Exhibits a proactive, self-directed, and organized approach in tracking, reporting, and promptly following up on communication with both current and prospective clients.
Able to maintain the confidentiality of Normec OWS and client information.
Collaborative team player adept at working within an international team of experts.
Has no problem making short business trips.
