Meet us at the European Bioplastics Conference 2023
The European Bioplastics Conference 2023 will take place on 12 – 13 December 2023, at the Titanic Hotel in Berlin, Germany.
In 2016, it was decided by the management of OWS that, as an environmental company, we do not only want to focus on offering environmentally friendly products and services, but from now on we also want to structurally improve our own environmental impact. This both on a local level for our employees, visitors and neighbours, and on a global level for the global population and the coming generations whose first steps on this globe are now being taken.
In 2017, we started setting up an environmental management system in line with the international ISO 14001 standard. This standard helps us set up a clear structure, with clear responsibilities, procedures, instructions and registrations for following up on our environment-related commitments and continuously improving our environmental impact. Today, in spring 2018, we are in the ISO 14001 certification process. This means we are currently working hard to fine-tune our environmental management system in cooperation with an independent external auditor. That auditor not only checks whether we meet the formal requirements of the standard, but also whether we effectively translate the intentions of the standard into our day-to-day operations.
This report is our first public environmental report. It aims to present the key features of our environmental management system and indicate where we are today with our environmental impact and what we are currently focusing on to effectively improve our environmental impact.
